1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email, stage name, role, location, profile details, headshots, demo reels, resumes, and messages. We also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage data through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile.
  • Display your profile to other members based on your visibility settings.
  • Enable messaging, connections, casting, and crew searches.
  • Process payments and subscriptions.
  • Improve the Platform, detect fraud, and enforce our Terms.
  • Communicate with you about your account, features, and updates.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as necessary to operate the Platform: with other members according to your visibility and sharing settings, with service providers who help us host, process payments, and send emails, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We are not responsible for how other members use information you choose to share with them.

4. Profile Visibility and Member Control

Talent profiles are searchable by paying Crew and Production members, but names and contact details may be masked until a subscription or connection unlocks them. Crew profiles are visible to other Crew and Production members. Production profiles are public to members. You control resume access through request-and-grant settings, and you can block other members at any time.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can manage cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect functionality.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete your account at any time; deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials confidential.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a child under 18 has provided information, we will delete it.

9. Your State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise these rights, email us at contactsouthernstarsnetwork@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

10. California Residents (CCPA Notice)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. To make a request, contact us at the email above.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on the Platform and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
